With Full Tilt recently resurrected from the dead, the popular FTOPS tournament series (Full Tilt Online Poker Series) has also seen the light again. It is one of the few tournament series on the internet awarding millions of dollars in prize money.
The latest edition of the FTOPS XXI, took place between December 2nd and 16th with a total of 34 events played which lead up to the $640 buy-in Main Event which would guarantee a prize pool of $1,500,000 but with a total of 4,766 entries, the actual prize pool reached a massive $2,859,600, shattering the guarantee by almost double.
A number of Canadians placed in the money with Yann Dion from Quebec shipping the event to steal first place and $453,229. In second place there was another Canadian from Toronto Christopher “CSWAMI” Swaminathan who won $413,229.
Other Canadians who placed in the main event include Sorel “Imper1um” Mizzi who finished in 6th for $97,226 and Steve “betrthanphil” Tripp in 8th for $45,753.
Canadian Pro Mike “GoLeafsGoEh” Leah also won event #28 Razz and $19,477, for his 2nd FTOPS title.
