WCOOP Canadian Final Table Finishes – Results Half Way Through‏

So far Over the 2012 WCOOP (World Championships of Online Poker) 2012 on PokerStars, Canadians (or at least those players grinding from our country) are leading the way with $4,431,809.24 in winnings over 1,338 cashes as of September 15th and Event 34.

We’ve made a total of 47 final tables resulting in 7 bracelets so far; putting us at the top of the charts in all the above categories so far. Canada has also had the most entrants so far, at nearly ten thousand, but is barely edging out Russia in this category.

The final table of Event 22, the $10,300 “High Roller” showed three players from Canada raking in some serious coin, however, the bracelet winner Darren Elias is from the USA, runner up “Shhh00kem” is considers on of online poker’s great “identities unknown”, though we can definitely place Matt “ch0ppy” Kay as hailing from Ontario and having a collected a fine six figure payday for his performance in this one.

WSOP bracelet winner and well known Quebec player Pascal “Pas_72” Lefrancois, scored more than $77,000 for a 5th place finish in Event 8.

Winnipeg’s Jesse “shakentoucan” Johnston took down Canada’s most recent WCOOP title in Event 32, winning the $320 Eight Game to claim the bling and more than $36,000.

Vancouver’s Noah “dirty.brasil” scored more than $31,000 and the WCOOP bracelet for winning Event 21, a $215 Fixed Limit Hold’em.

Past projects included organizing and promoting major events with the Canadian Poker Tour, introducing Big Slick Poker Tour to Southern Alberta and directing events and finals.
