5k Event Update

We are currently in Level 8 of the 5k event the blinds are 400-800 and the avg. count is $46,153. There are a total of 20 entries with 13 remaining. The last player to get busted out was Dmitry Druzhinsky. Vanessa Rousso just entered the tournament and currently our prize pool is standing at $91,180 based on the number of entries. The re-entry period still has a couple of hours left.

Rivet raise under the gun against Luc on the button – 3bet. 10-10 for Rivet vs. A-K suited for Luc who hits a king on the board to knock out Rivet. Rivet set to re-enter the 5k tournament. John Hanson also re-enters  and is now in seat 9 on the feature table.

In the 100k,Robert Renaud pushes in his stack with pocket 9s and is in a coin flip vs Gene Castro’s AQ. Castro hits a queen on the flop and eliminates Renaud in 12th place, good for $2,265. Castro now chip leader with 1.2 million chips.

 

100k Approaching a Final Table – Eugene Re-Enters 5k Event

We are down to 12 players as there have been a couple of eliminations in the 100k. Alexander Zaveruka moves all in with A-10 and vs Pham with A-Q. Zaveruka finished in 14th place for $1,770. Bill Kontaratos moved all in with A-J against Yannick Kwan A-K. Kwan hit a pair of Kings in the flop. Bill is out in 13th for $1,770.

Eugene Katchalov has re-entered the tournament after having a short break. He had a long flight to Montreal from France where he was at the EPT. He is on the feature table now in seat 2.

Day 1B Finished

After 12 rounds and a starting field today of 130 players, we are down to 32 players. The 25 players from Day 1A and those from 1B will return on Sunday at noon to play Day 2. Also on Sunday will be the 5k Players Championship which promises to be an exciting event  with a lot of big name pros, so stay tuned for that, or better yet come down to VIP Poker Room and play with the pros at 2PM.

Les 25 joueurs du Jour 1A et ceux du 1B seront de retour le dimanche à midi pour jouer la 2e jour du tournoi.
