Under The Gun – Fatal Shooting at Brampton Poker Tournament

A man was gunned down on Saturday inside the Rozz Restaurant and Entertainment Complex in Brampton, Ontario during a poker tournament. The victim was 28-year old Kearn Nedd who was rushed to the hospital at 3 P.M. but died later that evening to his injuries.

Two armed bandits raided the entertainment complex where a poker tournament was taking place in an effort to rob the place. The robbers got into an argument with one of the organizers of the tournament when Nedd, a professional fighter tried to step in to stop the fight and as a result was shot in the chest trying to help a friend.

Apparently, security at the event was really poor and it is not clear whether or not the poker tournament was a charity-based event or an underground tournament.

Police are searching for two men in connection with the shooting and urge anyone with information to call 905-453-2121 ext. 3205, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
