The Fallsview Poker Classic Returns in 2011

The Fallsview Poker Classic has just been announced for its 2nd appearance at the Fallsview Casino and Resort in Niagara Falls and will be held from January 6 to 11. There will be a total of three tournaments, all of them No-Limit Texas Hold’em, with buy-ins of $1,000, $2,500 and $5,000. The total estimated prize value for all three tournaments is $2,846,260 CDN based on number of expected players per tournament.

For the first time in Ontario, super satellite tournaments will be held and players can qualify into the main events through super satellites with entry fees as low as $120.

Last year’s winners included Canadian Pro Gavin Smith, who won more than $232,000 in prize money.

A year ago, the same venue hosted the World Poker Tour Niagara Falls stop which received record turnouts and rave reviews but for unknown internal reasons, the organizers of the Tour decided to not run the popular Niagara stop this fall to the disappointment of many poker players. We heard there are talks of possibly bringing back this great tournament next year.

The Fallsview Poker Classic is sure to please, both with a great tournament and with a pleasing location. We have spoken to the Fallsview Casino organizers and there are great rooms available both at the Fallsview Resort at the tournament rates. You can also get $99 rooms at the Niagara Falls Hilton which has a lot more rooms and is just adjacent to the Casino venue.  We look to see you there in the New Year.

More info about the tournament can be found below.
