Tammy Wing Wins the COPC Ladies Championship

The Ladies Championship was decided late last night at Deerfoot casino as Calgary’s own Tammy Wing edged out a field of 53 tough female competitors to earn her victory in addition to a respectable $8,000 top prize, making the CPT’s history books as the 2010 Canadian Ladies Champion. The victory was certainly well-earned as the women showed true determination by reaching the end of 22 full rounds of poker totaling out at an impressive 14 hours of play.Wing has also cashed in at several tournaments in Vegas.

Coming in at a close second at the final table was Lorinda Faasse of Kelowna, BC, winning a cool $6,000 while the third place prize was awarded to Lorea Ytterberg of Vancouver who took home $4,000 for third place. Lorea also works as the Poker Room Manager at the Edgewater Casino in downtown Vancouver. Nicely done Ladies.
