The Stardust Poker Classic took place this past weekend at the beautiful Stardust Poker Mansion in Kahnwake, Montreal, Quebec. A total of 243 players entered the tournament creating an impressive prize pool of $117,560, surpassing the original guaranteed amount of $100,000.

This is the second segment of the Stardust Poker Classic following last month’s successful series launch. The tournament has gained great popularity with the poker community due mainly to the large guaranteed prize pools, great tournament structures and superb venue. Even WSOP Champ Jonathan Duhamel took time out of his busy travel schedule to play in the Classic.

Hundreds of people watched from home as the action unfolded on the feature final table via live stream on Canada Poker courtesy of Stardust.

In a final table consisting of several local well known pros including Christopher McClung, Philippe Plouffe, and Derek Lerner, after about 28 rounds of play and despite a three-way chop, the official winner based on chip stacks was Mikael Korovine, an expert chess player. In 2nd place was Derek Lerner followed by Christopher “Doritos” McClung. The top 24 players shared the prize pool.

Here are the final table results for this great tournament.
