“slyfox151” Wins Record PokerStars Sunday Million and $480,761.38

Last night’s Sunday Million on PokerStars was special because it commemorated the online poker sites 6th year anniversary and the site put up a $6 million guaranteed prize pool instead of its usual $1 million to celebrate the event. Clearly, the tournament was on the minds of thousands of poker players this Sunday and as we all may have expected to see some overlay value, a mass of 33,732 players from all over the world made the $215 buy-in fee to boost the prize pool past the already impressive guarantee to $6,746,400.

The top 4,392 players would make it in the money with $1,064,737.08 set aside for the winner.

The event lasted more than 13 hours before reaching the final table and the remaining players already began talking about the possibility of making a deal as they seemed satisfied reaching that far.

 

 

After “orange6” was eliminated in 9th place, the remaining eight players agreed to chop the money according to stacks and leave $120,000 still in play for the final winner. With the deal in place, “toode” from Finland gotthe biggest piece of the pot at $590,482.92, but was eliminated very soon after in 7th place.
