The popular Deepstacks has travelled to Edmonton to the Yellowhead Casino where the Deepstacks Poker Tour (DSPT) took place with a series of events leading up to the $200,000 Guaranteed Main Event.
Ryan Smith defeated a field of 313 players to win the DSPT Edmonton Main Event and winning a top prize of $88,702 thanks to a prize pool that actually topped $401,000. Smith came on strong late in the tournament and quickly gained a big chip lead in heads up against Josh Steeper who took $62,220 for his 2nd place finish. The top 36 players made it in the money.
The next DSPT will be taking place in San Diego, California from October 25-November 2nd.
