Ron Campbell Wins Harvest Poker $1,100 NLH Event

Ron Campbell 1st Place Harvest Poker Classic
Ron Campbell took the 1st place prize in the 2011 Harvest Poker Classic

After a great turn-out of 184 starting runners, the $1,100 buy-in Harvest Poker Classic Main Event winner at Casino Regina was determined, concluding in a tough final table that took till just past 4:00am to wrap up; In the end Calgary’s Ron Campbell walked away with the win after some epic 3-handed play that included Regina local and 2011 WSOP bracelet winner Tyler Bonkowski and Medicine Hat’s Bernard Scott.

While this wasn’t Campbell’s first big score in Regina, having chopped the $500 NLH with 2011 COPC Main Event winner Bo Fric at the 2008 Harvest Classic for $30,000, Ron has however, been chasing his first “official” win since; the CPT “Player of The Year” for 2008 has had more than a dozen medium limit final table finishes over the past few years that included a total of four frustrating 2nd place finishes. Campell has been playing very well over the past month; on the heels of some oh-so-close finishes that include a recent 4th place finish at Edmonton’s $1000 2011 Canadian Poker Championships and a 10th place finish in the 2011 BCPC $1,100 he has finally
broke the curse here; adding $49,000 to his career statistics.

Congratulations to him and all the others making the money in Regina’s Main Event;
