New live events are parties held by PokerStars, and all players are invited to attend. There is an FPP cost to enter depending on a player’s VIP status level; the higher the level, the cheaper a ticket. Supernova Elite players go free. Tickets are purchased exclusively through the VIP store

The Vancouver VIP Club Live is is on July 13. The party is being held downtown at the Imperial Vancouver, with festivities getting underway at 19:00 local time.

19:00: The Imperial Vancouver, a converted Asian movie house, opens its door exclusively for PokerStars VIPs. Enjoy a welcome cocktail and some canapés in the lounge, as you get acquainted with fellow VIPs, including members of Team PokerStars and PokerStars senior staff.

20:00: Explore the main theatre, with an open bar, non-stop food, games, prizes, and entertainment. Master of Ceremonies Lee Jones (PokerStars Head of Poker Communications) will guide you through an evening of friendly, non-poker competition and fun.

23:00: Prizes from the PokerStars VIP Store will be handed out to the night’s winners. Don’t worry; everyone will be going home with a gift from the VIP Club. 1. Hi is Pokerstars planning any live tournaments in Vancouver this year or do you know of any in Vancouver up coming thank you for your time. Sincerely Christopher Clark

  2. not as easy to get in as you make it seem. you basically have to be a baller. a regular person who has a job, me, and plays as much as I can, has been lucky enough to reach Chrome star. I have 1700 fpp, only 6300 fpp short of ticket to this. In other words, quit my job and play full time for the next month. Then I get to go. So enjoy rich people, enjoy. rich get richer. Stomp on the little guy.

  3. Simply not true, Regular Joe. I work 40 hours a week, and commute about 6-8 hours per week, and I made silver star VIP no problem at all. This cost me 1500 FPP, which you could afford.

I made silver star by playing 4 tables of 10NL (0.05/0.010) full ring while sitting on the bus, with occasional sessions of 8 tables. I once earned the 500 VPP in 5 days with micro stakes with a small number of hours of 8-tabling (which isn’t really a lot compared to what the grinders do).

By the way, the party was pretty awesome! I was standing at the bar right next to Vanessa Rousso for a bit. Was too chicken sh1t to start a conversation…
