Production crews will be on site at the Canadian Poker Tour’s Montreal Mega Stack Series at VIP Poker Room in Montreal at the end of September, shooting the pilot for a reality TV series featuring the game Pot Limit Omaha. The series simply titled “PLO” will feature the characters, action and lifestyle around PLO cash game players and will showcase the emergence of this game in the poker world. The production is a partnership between the Canadian Poker Tour and PokerVision Media Inc. and will offer players the opportunity to audition for the series during a casting session and shooting between September 24th to 29th. The producers are looking for a balance between pro/celebrity players and new upcoming players to offer a fresh face to the ever changing poker scene.
Shooting will be focused around the 10/25 and larger PLO cash games that will be running during the CPT Montreal Mega Stack tournament series at the VIP Poker Room located on the Kahnawake Nation just 10 minutes from downtown Montreal. Players who are interested in auditioning can contact the poker room directly at 450-638-7653 or email info@vippokerroom.ca and register to play on the TV tables on September 24-26th where producers will be interviewing and casting players for the pilot which will be shot that weekend.
“This is a great chance for players to showcase their personalities and poker skill,” commented co-producer Amanda Leatherman. “I have seen some amazing things in the poker world and this show will bring it all to life!” Amanda has hosted some of the world’s most watched poker programming including the World Poker Tour and Poker Stars “The Big Game”.
