Poker players are going to Atlantic City in droves these days thanks to the record Bad Beat Jackpot being offered at the Caesars Entertainment group of casinos. The jackpot has reached an all time high of $712,639 as of this morning.
To win bad beat jackpot, a player has to be seated at a bad beat table at a designated time and lose a major hand to an even bigger holding.
The minimum losing Bad Beat Hand will start at four (4) queens and each week, on Wednesday, the required hand will be lowered by one (1) four of a kind ranking hand until the required hand is four (4) deuces. When the jackpot is hit the required hand will revert back to four (4) queens and reset the next Wednesday. The last time the jackpot was triggered on March 1, 2012, a winning table shared $281,000, with the loser of the jackpot hand getting $84,300 (30%) and the winner receiving ($56,200) 20%.
Caesars Entertainment run several Atlantic City casinos that include Caesars, Bally’s, Harrah’s Resort and Showboat and the jackpot can be won at any of these properties.
The previous record for a bad beat jackpot was $672,115 for an Atlantic City casino.
