Part two of the three part Hat Trick Series was hosted on Sunday at Playground Poker Club to benefit minor hockey in the Kahnawake and Montreal areas. Money was raised from re-buys, add-ons, donations and a silent auction. Fans were greeted by their favourite hockey heros, both legends and rising stars, from the Montreal Canadiens. Kids were invited at The Rail Coal Fire Bistro restaurant adjacent to the club to collect autographs and have photos taken with their heros.

The members of the Montreal Canadiens that co-hosted the day-long event consisted of Josh Gorges, Travis Moen, Brendan Gallagher, Max Pacioretty, David Desharnais, and former Habs Vincent Damphousse and Yvon Lambert.

After almost 11 long hours of play, congratulations goes to Leo Mantas who won the event for $3,400 defeating fellow club member Jingles in heads up play who collected $2,500 for 2nd.

A total of 20% of the prize pool from each of the three individual Hat Trick Events is being withheld for the Hat Trick Playoffs set to take place on March 24, 2013. The top 9 finishers from each event will return to play for that prize pool.

Part three of the Hat Trick Series will take place on Sunday March 17. Don’t miss your chance to play with your favorite hockey players, so mark it in your calendars.
