Phil Ivey captured his 10th WSOP Bracelet in the $1,500 buy-in Eight Game Mix tournament to win $167,332. This is Ivey’s first WSOP bracelet since winning the H.O.R.S.E. event in 2010. Ivey’s last three bracelets have come in a mixed-game format.
Ivey has racked up more than $21 million in career tournament winnings so in comparison, this six-figure win does not mean as much as winning the bracelet itself.
While Ivey is now tied with fellow poker hall of famers Doyle Brunson and Johnnie Chan whom each have 10 WSOP bracelets, only one player Phil Hellmuth has more, holding 13 bracelet wins. Ivey may one day hold the lead.
