Sorel Mizzi
Sorel Mizzi

After a very long heads up battle, in a hand that initially appeared to be in favor of Gross thanks to his pocket queens, Mizzi lands the flush on the turn to win the premier league. Gross certainly put up a fight here, starting the final table with the highest chip stack, coming into a deficit and making several comeback attempts.

Congratulations to Sorel Mizzi wearing his Canada sweater, winning the first Premier League Championship to be played on Canadian soil at Canada’s Premier poker destination Playground Poker Club during WPT week. A special thanks to event sponsor partypoker.net. Stay tuned later this week for WPT Montreal action.
