Montreal Party Poker Classic Wraps Up in Las Vegas

Those following our at the scene articles, video interviews and photo galleries of the inaugural 2012 Montreal Party Poker Classic to benefit the Jodi Taiger Lazarus Fund for Hereditary Breast Cancer Research will remember that after the “MTLPPC fever” hit the city, 20 finalists still remained to finish the final leg of the tournament at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

Dubbed ”one of a kind” charity poker event by the 783 entrants that took place in one of Canada’s largest starting entry fields, saw those top 20 contenders claim the flight and accommodation portion of the prizing they were already guaranteed to take their seats at the final two tables to decide a winner over the Victoria Day long weekend.

Those falling just shy of the Final Table still made out with some significant loot and a trip to the significantly more pleasant climate offered this time of year in Las Vegas, finishing as follows:

Those finishing 21st-40th in the first leg of The Montreal Party Poker Classic held in Montreal also cashed $500 USD each.

Our sincere congratulations to all the volunteers, players as well as organizers, who came out to make this event for a great cause such an enormous success and we hope to see our Top 10 make headlines once again this upcoming December, when they take their seats at the WPT Five Diamond Classic at the Bellagio to play for their share of millions more in available prize money. Past projects included organizing and promoting major events with the Canadian Poker Tour, introducing Big Slick Poker Tour to Southern Alberta and directing events and finals.

  1. This was the most fun I have had in 20 years. The dinner that was served at the Smith and Wollensky steak house was the best I’ve ever eaten. The suite at the Bellagio had a spectacular view that I will never forget. I had my picture taken with Mike Sexton and the Royal Flush Ladies , it doesn’t get better than that. I also won a seat to the five diamond classic in December. Thanks for the trip of a lifetime. 🙂
