It has certainly been a busy week for poker here in Montreal. Hot off the tail of the Vincent Damphousse charity tournament at the Casino de Montreal on Friday and a University League tournament on Saturday, the Miriam Foundation Montreal Open kicked off on Sunday evening. The event this year is absolutely massive and was quickly sold out.

On this day 1A, the first of three starting days, there were an impressive 500 players who bought in for a chance to get a seat in the field along with pros and celebrities such as Andy Bloch, Greg Mueller, Marc Karam, Gavin Smith, Huck Seed and Eric Cajelais among others. Overall the event is off to an incredible start and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for tomorrow!
