Mike McDonald and Mike Watson Final Table at EPT Barcelona €50,000 Super Highroller Event

The ninth edition of the European Tour kicked off in Barcelona this week and is running from The Festival runs August 15-25, 2012 and the whole event will once again take place in an annex of the Gran Casino at Hotel Arts and is running in alongside the Estrellas Poker Tour.

The EPT9 Barcelona Super High Roller €50,000 buy-in – Unlimited Reload – “8 Handed” kicked off on Friday with a total of 55 players entering the event plus nine reloads creating a prize pool of €3,072,960. The winner can expect to receive €1,075,500.

The final table of the event is currently being played with two Canadians making the final table, Mike McDonald and Mike Watson. Mike Watson who was one of the short stacks managed to make his way back up to 2.5 million chips at the posting of this article.

As of the break, there is already one elimination, Jim McCrink who was the short stack entering the final table. All eight final table players will receive cash.

Other Canadians who entered the Super Highroller Event but who were not lucky to make the final table included Daniel Negreanu, Jonathan Duhamel, Peter Jetten, Sam Chartier, WSOP last man standing Marc-Andre Ladouceour and 2012 WSOP bracelet winner Timothy Adams.
