Mike Doucette Wins the 2012 PEI Poker Challenge at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino

All eyes were on PEI this weekend where the 2012 PEI Poker Challenge was staged at the Red Shores Racetrack & Casino in Charlottetown.

The sold out event attracted 240 players from across Atlantic Canada creating a total prize pool of $72,000.

When all was said and done, Mike Doucette of Dieppe, NB was the victor and won $20,000. He was followed by Boyd Rose of Souris, PEI in 2nd ($12,600) and Bobby Clark of New Glasgow, NS finished in 3rd ($7,200).

The team at Red Shores have once again  hosted a great tournament and continue to show us that poker is thriving in Atlantic Canada. Stay tuned for their next big event, the 5th Annual Atlantic Canada’s Poker Championship from October 12-14.
