UB’s Online Poker Championship Series (UBOC), which guarantees over $5 Million in tournament money and competition prizes, continued on Sunday, January 23rd. The much anticipated UBOC6 Event #16 $750,000 GTD High Roller NLH Deep Stack event had finally arrived, and by the time late registration closed 120 minutes into the tournament, 387 online poker players were willing to put a good chunk of their money on the line, and their skills to the test for a shot at a share of the $774,000 prize pool.
2010 WSOP ‘November Niner’ Matt Jarvis AKA “JARFISH” won the UBOC Event #16 for $122,903 and the UBOC Championship Watch after a four-way chop and almost twelve hours of No Limit Hold’em poker action.
When the action had made its way down to four-handed at the final table, a deal was requested, and all four players agreed to chop the remaining $437,016 prize money based on their current chip counts, with the required $15K winner’s sidepot still to be played for:

In the end, it was JNIKERSON3 and JARFISH who found themselves heads up to play for the extra $15K. JARFISH held the clear chiplead on the Big Blind, with JNIKERSON3 short stacked. JNIKERSON3 raised 4,000 to 19,999 holding :Kc :Qs. JARFISH perhaps sensing a weakness, re-raised to 1,692,000, forcing JNIKERSON3 All-In. The :3d :9h :Kd on the Flop gave JNIKERSON3 a Pair and some hope, but the :Ad on the Turn and the :6s on the River was much kinder to JARFISH, who had :As :6c in his hand entering the fray, on what was destined to be the final hand of the night. JARFISH added the $15K to his winnings to inflate his first place payout to a superb $122,903, along with the prestigious UBOC Championship Watch.

Earlier in the day, in the $300+20 buy-in $150K GTD NLH Deep Stack UBOC Event #15, there were 847 entries to create a prize pool of $254,100, a whopping $100,000 above the guarantee. At the end of play, EL_SCHEFFE proved he had what it takes to take out the rest of the competition. He pocketed the impressive $58,061.85 first prize, with PREDADOR737 banking $35,828.10 for second place.
