Laak Esfandiari Open at Playground PokerTwo very recognizable pros of the poker community, Phil Laak and Antonio Esfandiari, have made their waare in Montreal to host the Laak & Esfandiari Open at Playground Poker Club. The action packed weekend will feature a total of 3 great events for players with all tastes and the cash tables will be on fire at Playground as usual.

On Thursday the kickoff Event#1 features a $2,200 buy-in, best 2 of 3 matches Heads Up Challenge. There will be two starting days, Thursday and Friday at Noon and the final match will be on Saturday March 3rd at 8PM. The event is capped at 32 players. To add some intensity, Phil and Antonio have agreed to a humiliation prop bet. Whichever player between the two of them gets knocked out the earliest, will be humiliated in front of everyone at Playground Poker Club by the other player on Sunday, March 4th.

Friday will feature the $550 NLHE Deepstack Event#2. There will be two starting days for this event with starting times set for 7PM on Friday and Noon on Saturday with Day 2 resuming on Sunday at 4PM. Players will be served up with 25K starting chip stacks, and the blind levels will be 30 minutes on Day 1 and 45 minutes on Day 2. Players will be divided into two teams Captained by Phil and Antonio depending on your starting day.

Event#3 is set for Sunday March 4th and will feature a Bounty Tournament. The buyin for this event is $130 going to the prize pool, $20 registration fee and $50 for the bounty. The event is capped at 100 players and players will start with 20K chip stacks and blind levels will be 20 minutes long.

Playground is the place to be this weekend but for those of you who really can’t make it, there will be a feature table that will be streamed LIVE throughout the weekend courtesy of and you’ll be able to see the pros and catch some of the action.
