The 2013 WPT World Championship is the prestigious final stop wrapping up Season XI of the World Poker Tour taking place at the Bellagio Casino in Las Vegas. The Main Event is a hefty $25,500 buy-in and with 146 players the prize pool is sitting at an impressive $3,540,500 with top 15 places getting paid. But buying in directly is not the only way to get your seat to this event, those who have won a WPT event during the year get an automatic entry.
Two Canadian WPT winners, both of them winning at the two inaugural WPT events at Playground Poker Club have made it deep. Amir Babakhani, who just won the WPT Spring Championship finished in 9th place, adding a further $70,300 to his WPT winnings. WPT Montreal Champ Jonthan Roy, is currently sitting 3rd in chips with an 8 man final table left. Also on the final table is Daniel Negreanu with the shortest stack. The chip leader is Chino Rheem who eliminated Amir and who is looking to score for his 2nd WPT win.
