Each month, the editors at ESPN publish a feature called The Nuts which takes a look at the best poker players in the world ranked for the month. The judging is done by a panel of influential poker writers and members of the poker industry.
The biggest mover in the rankings was Jonathan Duhamel who has made his way to No. 2. Duhamel nearly made the Bay 101 Shooting Star final table but finished in 13th. The cash was Duhamel’s seventh of the year and the 2010 WSOP main event champion is sixth on the 2012 money list. The man who leads that list, Phil Ivey, is ranked third this month.
Shawn Buchanan is the other Canadian on this list and he is in 8th spot. It is not an easy task to rank players because of the limited tournament results but there should be moves taking place as the WSOP stretch comes to play.
Here is the list:

|Jason Mercier (7)||1 (1)||27th at the WPT’s Bay 101 main event for $19,200.|
