Jon Jadis Wins 2014 Deep Freeze Bounty Poker Tournament at Red Shores

Jon-Jadis-PEI

The annual Deep Freeze Bounty Poker Tournament came to a close yesterday. Forty players out of the 160 players who started on Day 1 on Saturday returned to play in Sunday’s Championship Session for a share of $56,000. The Championship Session started shortly after the entire country witnessed Team Canada men’s hockey team win a gold medal at the Sochi Olympics, beating out Sweden 3-0. Along the way, $8,000 in bounties were being paid to anyone who eliminated another poker player.

At the end of a great tournament, Jon Jadis of Scotchford, PEI beat out Ryan Drake of Stratford, PEI for the first place win. A notable 3rd place finish went to Eric Place of Halifax, NS.

Once again, a sold out event is a testament to the popularity of great poker being offered in Atlantic Canada by the team at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino in Charlottetown, PEI.

Congratulations to the winners!!
