After working his way through a field of 293 players on two starting days that included hockey and poker celebrities, Jason Smith emerged as the winner of the NLH Faceoff Tournament and took top prize of $25,000 of a total $120,000 prize pool.
Jason went in a heads-up battle with poker newbie Phil Levi. The final hand of the tournament saw Jason Smith go all in followed by a call from short stacked Phil Levi. Jason flips pocket 5’s and Phil shows Q-4 suited. The board comes up 4-10-9-10-8 and it was over for Phil who finished in second place for a $17,000 payday.
The tournament was a great success and it benefited a really great cause.
