The annual PEI Poker Challenge was the hot ticket this weekend as 300 players competed for a $90,000 prize pool for this SOLD OUT event at the Red Shores Racetrack & Casino in Charlottetown, PEI.
There were a total of 3 qualifying sessions, each with 100 players, with the top 20 in each session advancing to Sunday’s final.
The last man standing was Glen Hill of PEI who defeated Ray Carter of New Brunswick in Heads Up play. Both men entered the final day trailing the chip leader by about 3.5 times fewer chips but made a come back.
Glen took home a $23,000 check for his win. Glen finished in 11th place at last year’s PEI Poker Challenge.
Congratulations to all the winners!
