Full Tilt Poker adds to its roster of professional poker players by naming Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Viktor “Isildur1” Blom as its newest Full Tilt Poker ambassadors who will be simply known as “The Professionals”, joining Gus “The Great Dane” Hansen.
Both players were regulars at the infamous high stakes or “nose bleed” tables on Full Tilt where millions of dollars have passed through their hands, many hands often making big news in the poker world due to the sheer amount of the pots in question. Full Tilt’s press says that Dwan and Blom will “reignite a fierce competition at the highest stakes tables on the Full Tilt Poker site.”
Tom Dwan was a Full Tilt sponsored pro prior to Black Friday and also played live on TV shows “Poker After Dark” and “High Stakes Poker.” Dwan commented on rejoining Full Tilt, “I’m very excited that Full Tilt Poker is relaunching. I think it is great for poker and I’m excited to be a part of it.”
Viktor Blom became famous online at the high stakes tables on Full Tilt where he played as “Isildur1”. He was apparently was involved in the ten largest pots in online poker history, winning four for a combined $3.5 million.
Since the 2011 PCA, Blom was a PokerStars Team Pro but split with them in August, however, many speculated that this move had something to do with Full Tilt Poker’s relaunch which seems like a good fit given that Blom was a staple at the high stakes tables on Full Tilt.
Full Tilt’s Head of Marketing Sarne Lightman said in a press release “The game of poker is always evolving. Through our continual innovations, Full Tilt Poker is proud to have been at the forefront of that evolution. In choosing our Pros we approached the three poker players whose unique and innovative styles have had the most impact on how modern poker is played.”
One thing is for sure, if you don’t have the money to go up against these guys, they will make it exciting to be a railbird during their matches.
