EPT London Main Event enters Day 4

EPT London LogoOn Day 4 of the Main Event, the original field of 848 players is narrowed down to 16 now. The £4,112,800 Prize Pool has already started paying out.

As of the writing of this article, Joe Hachem was busted out in 14th spot which earned the 2005 WSOP Main Event Champ him some pocket change to the tune of £25,000.

A couple of notables remain including John Juanda and Tom Marchese.

Kayvan Payman of Vancouver is still in the running in this event with a respectable chip stack. Kayvan has been busy as a beaver this month playing tournament after tournament here in London. He cashed at the WSOPE a couple of weeks prior and also in a couple of smaller events played at the European Championships here in London where it has been a poker frenzy this past month.

The EPT Highrollers event, a £20,000 buy-in attracted a field of 77 players making the prize pool £1,524,600 with the winner scoring a pay-off of £556,000 ($897,000 CAD). It is currently on Day 2 with 25 players remaining in the field.

Two Canadians rank in the final 25 players. Will Molson (Montreal, QC) who’s had over $370,000 in tournament cashes in 2010 and Matt Marafioti (Toronto, ON) who had cashed last month in one of the side events at the WPT Borgata in Atlantic City preceded by a big 2nd place $381,000 finish at Event #38 of this past summer’s WSOP. Other Canadians not so lucky yesterday were Daniel Negreanu and Sorel Mizzi.
