After a one year hiatus, the final stop of the European Poker Tour will once again see the tournament make its way to the prestigious Monte Carlo in Monaco. The EPT Monte Carlo was just announced and is scheduled to take place between April 23rd and May 1st and is expected to attract the elite from the poker world. Last year’s final stop was in Madrid which will still remain on the schedule but nothing compares to Monte Carlo, which has been known to be a must stop for the elites of the poker world.
In spring, the exclusive region also plays host to many prestigious sporting events. This year it will host PokerStars and Monte Carlo Casino EPT Grand Final taking place at the Monte Casino Casino, the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters ATP Tennis (April 13-22), the Monaco Historic Grand Prix (May 11-13) and the famous Grand Prix of Monaco (May 24-27) Formula 1 race.
Monaco is home to some of the world’s wealthiest people and a top holiday destination for A-list celebrities and a very exclusive destination for poker players. The best way to realize this trip of a lifetime is to play satellites on PokerStars, get to play poker and maybe stay in the area for some of the other great events taking place in Monaco.
Here are some of the top finishes by Canadians at the EPT Monte Carlo, some of whom have gone to play thanks to playing online qualifiers on PokerStars.
