DOJ Delays on Full Tilt Poker Remission Process

The DOJ previously announced that the appointment of a third-party claims administrator would be chosen by the end of January 2013 to commence working on the remission process for American players with funds stuck in Full Tilt Poker. As of today, no one has been chosen yet to commence the work. The Department of Justice said that an announcement would be made soon without giving any clarity as to when this appointment process would be complete.

There is around $159 million in player funds expected to be disbursed to some 1.3 million former U.S. players of Full Tilt.

The funds have been provided by PokerStars who have purchased Full Tilt and have been operating the relaunched site since early November.

  1. While the money is waiting to get disbursed, maybe they can invest it with one of America’s secure financial institutions..LOL
