Real Madrid and international soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has been recently spotted playing on Full Tilt Poker with some poker superstars, Daniel “jungleman12” Cates and Patrik Antonius. With Cates it was just a fun game with 1/2 blinds, but with his friend Antonius, the soccer star played heads up at 25/50 level.

It’s been a well-known fact that Cristiano Ronaldo enjoys poker and sometimes plays on Full Tilt Poker with the nickname CR7sete. Last Friday he was spotted playing a fun game of 1/2 PLO with Daniel “jungleman12” Cates, who posted about it on his Twitter page:

playing on full tilt vs Cristiano Ronaldo
I’m winning lol, fortunately not playing football 🙂

Over the weekend, Ronaldo took up his friend Patrik Antonius, this time at NLHE heads up with much higher stakes, $25/$50. Apparently, Ronaldo won a little bit in the session but we don’t have the exact figures.

When the railbirds were wondering what Patrik Antonius was doing at the 5k level, CR7sete told them it was just a friendly game:

CR7sete: Didnt move down in levels…we are friends…
Patrik Antonius: wp champ
CR7sete: Thanks…
Patrik Antonius: footbol and poker good
Patrik Antonius: tennis is so so…
Patrik Antonius: ciao
CR7sete: Good game…play tomorow
CR7sete: o text my mobile….
Patrik Antonius: ok
Patrik Antonius: ciao

So, Patrik thinks there’s nothing wrong with Ronaldo’s football or poker skills but maybe his tennis game needs some work. While playing 25/50 NLHE with Patrik Antonius is not the smartest move for anyone’s bankroll, Cristiano Ronaldo won’t have trouble reloading should he bust out. His salary from Real Madrid alone is more than 1 Million Euros per month, and his advertising and endorsement deals are worth many Millions as well.

High stakes players Phil Ivey and Patrik Antonius on Full Tilt Poker have been playing a lot with German limit player IhateJuice. They usually play 2K/4K Limit but this was not big enough for him so he asked Ivey if he had contacts to set up a 3K/6K game. Sure enough Phil Ivey came through and just a couple of days later the 3K/6K tables were up.
IHateJuice was chatting with Phil Ivey a couple of days ago and asked him to talk to FTP about setting up a bigger limit game:
IHateJuice: btw… can u do me a favor and ask FTP for 3k6k tables?
Phil Ivey: u wanna break me faster?
IHateJuice: this has nothing to do with u
Phil Ivey: i was joking
IHateJuice: 🙂
IHateJuice: maybe patrik wants to play higher
Phil Ivey: y not jus open up 5k 10k tables and get it out of the mud
IHateJuice: yeah, why not?
Phil Ivey: i wanna sweat it
IHateJuice: uve played so much higher in the past
IHateJuice: im the biggest fan of your limit history
Phil Ivey: when i play really high i like to look at the person
Phil Ivey: ty
IHateJuice: anyway, i would appreciate it if u could convice ftp 🙂
IHateJuice: they only answer me with those standard emails

It didn’t take long before the German high stakes player’s wish was granted, and he is right now sitting at the brand new “IHateJuice” $3,000/$6,000 Limit Hold’em 6-max table on Full Tilt Poker. Blind wise this is the biggest online game ever. But if you consider what kind of bankroll you need to play the game, $500/$1,000 PLO is somewhat bigger.
