It was a final table that ended up in a heads up battle between Dan Colman and Canadian pro Mike Leah. The $5,300 buy-in, $10 million guaranteed prize pool Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Main Event which fell short of hitting its numbers and created a massive $2.5 million overlay. Colman won the tournament and $1,446,710 while Mike Leah took home $1,047,638 finishing in 2nd place.
Colman has been on a run this year with four major tournament victories that began by winning the €100,000 European Poker Tour Monte Carlo Super High Roller event for approximately $2.1 million. He continued on to win the largest prize of the year in the poker world, the Big One for One Drop that paid him $15.3 million. He chalked up another million plus payday by winning the €50,000 EPT Super High Roller in Spain for another $1.2 million.
Colman’s string of victories have propelled the 23 year old to #3 on poker’s all-time live tournament money list with just over $21.5 million.
