Dale Babineau Wins 2013 PEI Poker Challenge at Red Shores

Dale-Babineau-PEIThe 2013 PEI Poker Challenge took the center stage this weekend to a sold out crowd at the Red Shores Racetrack & Casino in Charlottetown, PEI. Players came from PEI and neighbouring New Brunswick and Nova Scotia to play in this $300 Open Limit Texas-Hold’em Event, which generated a $72,000 prize pool.

The winner of this year’s PEI Poker Challenge was Dale Babineau of Shediac River, NB who took top prize of $20,000. In 2nd place was Steven Dowling of Charlottetown. The top 24 finishers earned cash.

Red Shores have done another awesome job of hosting a great poker tournament in Atlantic Canada.

Stay tuned for the 5th annual Atlantic Canada Poker Championship taking place October 18-20 at Red Shores. There is an estimated $160,000 prize pool and registration will be open as of September 1st so be sure to register early, the buy-in is $550.

    THE FINAL TABLE WAS FULL OF TALENTED MARITIME POKER STARS. DALE BABINEAU WON BUT ANY ONE OF THE FINALIST WOULD HAVE BEEN A WORTHY CHAMPION.
