The 2011 Canadian Open Poker Championships (COPC) are back and are expected to be better than ever. For 10 Days between August 11 and August 21st, Calgary will provide the backdrop to one of the largest series of poker tournaments in Canada. The COPC is organized by the Canadian Poker Tour and will be hosted at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino.
Like in other years, the COPC attracts some of the best Canadian poker players. Gavin Smith and numerous poker pros are rumoured to be in attendance this year.
Several changes have been made to this year’s sixth annual COPC. Some of the changes include a single venue for the entire tournament, the Deerfoot Inn and Casino instead of multiple venues like last year. The buy-ins at the 2011 COPC will be more affordable, specifically for the No Limit Heads Up Championship where the buy in was reduced to $2,000 from the previous $5,000.
A total of 8 incredible poker tournaments will be showcased including the signature Heads Up Championship.

We recently met a gentleman that won your 2010 tournament. He has nothing but rave reviews about your tournament that was held in calgary alberta in august of 2010. The only concern that was brought up was the fact that he was suppose to recieve a ring for winning this tournament..He has still not recieved this ring after over 2 years of waiting. I am curious if any of your winners ever recieve their rings. I would love a response to my concerns..
