Casino de Montréal’s Série Royale de Poker Prize Pool Reaches $132,915

The Casino de Montréal is hosting its popular tournament, the Série Royale de Poker (Royal Poker Series), a tradition at the Montreal Casino taking place about every 3 months. The buy-in is $1,000 +$100 and prior to the start, the 120 player max event was already sold out which would mean a prize pool of  around $120,000. Alternates were allowed to register during the first two hours of the tournament following eliminations which drove up the already impressive prize pool. In total, including alternate player registrations, there were a total of 137 entrants for an astonishing prize pool of $132,915. The prize money will be shared among the top ten players as follows:

Players started with 20,000 chip stacks with 30 minute long blind levels. The tournament will play down to completion today.
