Making a bold step into the “Major” Tournament Scene, Casino Calgary has announced the 1st Annual “Casino A.B.S All-In Challenge”, a two starting day $2010 No Limit Hold’em to be held from November 16th-18th.

A $220 Super Satellite will be also be hosted at 7:00PM on Thursday the 15th proceeding the Main Event.

Day 1a of the tournament will get underway at 1:00PM on Friday the 16th and Day 1b on Saturday the 17th. Players receive 15,000 starting chips with 40 minute blind levels, while those advancing to Sundays finals on the 18th at 1:00PM will find even more play at their disposal with 60 minute levels.

The A.B.S Casino group is however no stranger to running top tier events, with a long history of successful poker series standing behind them from their two Edmonton locations, Casino Yellowhead and Casino A.B.S Edmonton (Argyll).

This latest addition to their line-up is sure to be a welcomed and refreshing option to Calgary’s poker offerings; though with satellites from other A.B.S venues also seeding the prize-pool, it definitely won’t be an “all local” affair.

The 13th Annual Canadian Poker Championships are also just around the corner in Edmonton, with plenty of action set to get  underway on September 26th at Casino Yellowhead.

We’ll be looking forward to seeing how well players will receive this newest Calgary stop and CanadaPoker.com will be sure to keep our readers posted on how it turns out.

Good luck to those planning on attending!

I love the game but am far to social to take it seriously and sometimes give up a little to much information at the table because I enjoy discussing the game, so decided it was safest for my bankroll to take up writing about the game. That way I still get to meet the cool people and opinions on the game, but with a little less risk.
