Canadian Poker Championships & Double Day Deep Stack – Sept 26 to Oct 7

The 13th Annual Canadian Poker Championships promise to deliver another action packed poker tournament series from September 26th to October 7th at Yellowhead Casino in Edmonton.

For those looking for added incentive to make the trip, the popular $340 Monthly Double Day Deep Stack will also be taking place over the same period, an event that usually delivers of 150-200 players over the two starting days at sister ABS Casino Edmonton, also traditionally boasting a five figure top prize at a very affordable buy-in.

Many player testimonials also claim that the cash games at both the Edmonton ABS offer “the best low limit action in the world”, with a $500 maximum buy-in at $1/$2 No Limit that ensures a great deep stack ring game right out of the gate. Of course for those looking for even bigger, there is also $2/$5 and higher No Limit Hold’em and some very juicy (and sometimes quite large) Pot Limit Omaha games going at any given time.

Casino EdmontonThis year’s Canadian Poker Championships schedule has a couple of notable additions that are sure to please; several $330 Super Satellites will allow players a great shot at being able to win seats to all 5 of the series events at once and a multiple starting day $1,100 is sure to build a prize-pool that any poker player will want a piece of.

Below is the full CPC 2012 schedule; please note that buy-ins do not reflect an optional $10 “dealer add-on”, but the maximum starting stacks are listed. All events are re-entry/alternate list until a designated level, please consult your tournament director as the cut-off level may vary for each event.

Entry fees, with the exception of Super Satellites have also traditionally included players meals and winners of events are awarded a trophy, along with championship jewelry for the larger buy-ins. While we make no claims that this will definitely be the case this year as well, we can’t see them suddenly changing their long standing reputation for rolling out the red carpet…

Good luck to all!
