In Event #8: the $2,500 Eight-Game Mix, with 18 out of 388 players remaining, still in contention from Canada are Greg Mueller of Vancouver (5th in chips), Michael Malm of Mississauga (8th in chips), and Septimiu Popescu from North York (17th in chips). Gavin Smith of Guelph has cashed in 30th for $5,702.
Daniel Negreanu made a 12th place cash for $12,269 in Event #5, the $2,500 Omaha/Seven Card Stud Hi-Low 8-or Better. He is joined by Danny Scott of Kitchener who finished in 38th place for $4,611.
