Canadian Ben Chen leads final 10 in WSOP Millionaire Maker

Ben-Chen-WSOPA total of 6343 players started Event #6 on Saturday with 133 of them playing down to final ten table yesterday. With a starting field of that size, its already an accomplishment making it this far.

The buy-in for the Millionaire Make was $1,500 and the total prize pool is $8,563,050 with top 648 players making in the money with a minimum payout of  $2,740. The winner on the other hand, can expect to walk away with $1,199,104.

Leading the pack on the final table is Ben Chen from Stratford, PEI. Here are the final table chipcounts.

4. Chris Hunichen, 3.43 million
5. Robert McVeigh, 3.175 million

9. Theron Eichenberger, 595,000
10. Upeshka DeSilva, 550,000

In Event #10, the $1,500 Limit Hold’em, Miguel Proulx from Quebec is 2nd in chips after Day 2 with 117 players remaining from 645 starters. The prize pool is $870,750.

In Event #8: the $2,500 Eight-Game Mix, with 18 out of 388 players remaining, still in contention from Canada are Greg Mueller of Vancouver (5th in chips),  Michael Malm of Mississauga (8th in chips), and Septimiu Popescu from North York (17th in chips). Gavin Smith of Guelph has cashed in 30th for $5,702.

Daniel Negreanu made a 12th place cash for $12,269 in Event #5, the $2,500 Omaha/Seven Card Stud Hi-Low 8-or Better. He is joined by Danny Scott of Kitchener who finished in 38th place for $4,611.
