Canada’s Andrew Pantling and Daniel Negreanu Final Table at EPT Monte Carlo

Andrew-PantlingThe final stop of the European Poker Tour is being staged in Monaco at the Monte Carlo Casino and the 10,000 euro Main Event has just ended.

Steve O’Dwyer of Ireland won the tournament cashing in € 1,224,000 but two Canadians finished in the top five taking €1,163,000. Andrew Pantling finished in 2nd and Daniel Negreanu in 4th, both men from Toronto.

A total of 531 players entered the €10,000 Main Event to create an impressive prize pool of  €5,310,000 and a top prize of  € 1,224,000.

This year’s EPT Grand Final has seen its numbers down drastically from the prior years, which reflected in the prize pools, nonetheless it is still considered the most sought out stop of the European Poker Tour.

The EPT Grand Final wraps up season 9 of the European Poker Tour. Player numbers for Season 9 of the EPT dropped from 8,397 to 6,071 over the previous season and the total prize pools €46,700,915 to €32,266,591.
