The 2014 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) series on PokerStars ever has officially wrapped up its two-week tournament schedule having built an overall prize pool of $81,222,158.66, making it the largest SCOOP to date in terms of prize money awarded. In terms of entries, SCOOP amassed a total of 567,701 (not including re-entries). These figures make this year’s SCOOP the richest-ever online tournament series, beating its own record by more than $6 million.
Last night, the three main event champions were crowned, one for each buy-in level.
In the low buy-in of $109, Ari “BodogAri” Engel from Canada won $187,669 by beating out a field of 21,500 players. In the medium buy-in of $1,050, LexaLucky666 of Belarus won $635,379 beating out 4,047 players. And in the high buy-in of $10,300, Ivan “vandir4rek” Soshinikov won $1,048,000 edging out of field of 657 players. Ben “NeverScaredB” Wilinofsky of Canada managed to capture 6th place for $279,225.
