The final day began with 10 players remaining with Chen entering as the chip leader but that position would change countless times. 2010 bracelet winner, Dan Kelly eliminated the first two players, sending Joe Kuether to the rail in tenth place and eliminating Theron Eichenberger in ninth place, to take the lead from Chen. After Robert McVeigh was eliminated in 8th place, Chen found himself 6th in chips but jumped back to 2nd after the 7th place elimination.
Chen eventually made his way to heads up with a 3:1 chip advantage against Michael Bennington. On the eighth hand of play, the hand the sealed the deal, Bennington limped on the button and Chen raised from the big blind. Bennington raised back and then Chen re-raised all in. Bennington called.
