0

With 22 players remaining out of a starting field of 503 who made the $10,300 buy-in to create an awesome $4,879,100 prize pool, Antonio the Magician continues to amaze.Antonio who had the chip lead entering into Day 4 with 57 starters and the first player to break the million chip mark, suffered a minor setback by dropping to 755k chips after level 20 with 27 players remaining while 6 others including Freddy Deeb and Buchanan were way ahead in chips. He finished the night with an upswing and the end of day chip lead.

Esfandiari is attempting to make the final table at this event for the third year in a row, where he will have a shot at winning the Five Diamond title for the second time in three years.

Shawn Buchanan

There are a lot of well-knowns still in the field and a half dozen former WPT Champions, but Canadian Shawn Buchanan is trailing second in chips and seeking to make a second WPT bracelet. Also still in from Canada is Greg Mueller.

Players are returning today to play down to the final six. The final table will be broadcast via LIVE STREAM on CanadaPoker.com  this Sunday.

Here are the chip counts entering Day 5 and seat assignments and a look at the final payout structure. Already the remaining players are assured at least $31,714 but the winner will add a cool $1,268,571 to his wallet.
