While other operators are reporting drops in their poker activity, 888 Poker is one of a small handful of companies actually on the rise, especially since the major shakeup caused by Black Friday. 888’s poker revenue is up 72% for the six month period ended this June.
The poker product underwent a major transformation for the better last year, rejuvenating it and innovation has been paramount to the company’s success. They introduced live web cams, Poker 6 platform, app style games aiming to appeal to the recreational type player.
888’s $8 free promotion was supposed to be a temporary promo of about 2 weeks but here it is still one year later.
The company jumped from being the 13th largest network to being the fourth largest in 12 months according to PokerScout. 888’s astonishing growth came only second to that of PokerStars.
