With blinds 100k/200k, Robert Notkin limped in under-the-gun, Justin Miller shoves from the button for three big blinds, Vincent Jacques re-shoved in the small blind for 7.5M, Ryan Rivers thought for a moment before moving his 1.25M stack into the middle, and Notkin snap-called putting all three players at risk.

A total of 1,439 entries started the tournament generating a prize pool of $188,437.

No Limit Hold’em High Roller, $10,000 + $400, 3 Day Event

Samuel Chartier is the PokerStars Canada Poker Cup $10,000 High Roller Champion! Chartier defeated Ami ALibay heads-up for the title and the $122,050 first place prize. In the final hand, Alibay min-raised from the button, Chartier raised all-in and Alibay made the call putting himself at risk. Chartier Alibay The flop pretty much sealed the deal for Chartier running out . Alibay would need to catch one of the two remaining nines. The turn did not change anything and the river gave Chartier the checkmark and the title.

Guillaume Bernier outlasted a field including some extremely tough competition to win Event 5 in the PokerStars Canada Cup. The event was a $300 + $30 Mixed No Limit Hold’em + Pot Limit Omaha event.

 Event 7 – PokerStars Canada Poker Cup Winner Tamer Farag

Tamer Farag is the winner of Event 7 receiving $6,955 in cash and the beautiful PokerStars Canada Poker Cup trophy!

There was a deal made on the final table with the top 8 players each taking $4,450, reserving $2,500 and the PokerStars Canada Cup trophy for first place.

 Event 8 – PokerStars Canada Poker Cup Winner Shauna Marie Webber

Given the ‘All-in or Nothing’ formula of Event 8, where players only have the option of folding their cards or moving all-in, it only took 3 hours to crown a champion. At the end of it all, it was Shauna Marie Webber who triumphed over heads-up opponent Christian Brousseau to take home the first prize of $2,129. Shauna also earned a PokerStars Canada Cup trophy for her win in this event, which attracted a total of 67 players.

Event 9 – PokerStars Canada Poker Cup Winner Raphael Ohayon

Event 9 was a $200 + $20 No Limit Hold’em Deepstack Turbo that had 155 total entries and paid 16 places from a prize pool that totalled $30,070.

The players in the event made a deal at 6 players remaining. They reserved $1,560 and the PokerStars Canada Cup trophy for the winner, the players with the smallest two chip stacks at the time of the deal received $3,000 each, and the remaining 4 players received $4,000 each. The following payout table reflects this player agreement.

Raphael Ohayon is the champion of the event, a $200 + $20 No Limit Hold’em Deepstack Turbo tournament winning $5,560!
