The first event of the Borgata Spring Open kicked off this week in New Jersey with a $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool that has been shattered by 500 entries with a total of 2,482 entries spread across 770 runners.
Carlos Alvarado was crowned the winner after agreeing to a four-way chop paying the top four players $127,652.

There is still plenty of action in Atlantic City’s Borgata leading up to Event 14, the televised WPT World Championship $15,400 buy-in Main Event which has a $5 million guaranteed prize pool. The World Poker Tour has just a few days left at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida where a $5 million guaranteed prize pool is up for grabs before heading to the Borgata for back to back main events guaranteed to pay out at least $5 million in prize money.
