2012 Regina Harvest Poker Classic Crowns New Saskatchewan and Alberta Champs in Event 1 to 3 Results

Despite cold and a ton of snow rolling in, players at Casino Regina have wasted no time in grabbing their share of an  estimated $500,000 in series prize-pool at the 2012 Harvest Poker Classic.  Results from Events 1 through 3 show players Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario on the board, while it seems one gentleman even made the trip from Nunavut!  So far, around a $354,000 has been awarded in the first 3 events with Saturday’s $700 No Limit Hold’em yet to go.

Moose Jaw’s Rod Bearchell , the winner of Event #1 for $14,139 and the Event #2 winner,  Regina local Daniel Lamb’s $29,022 haul, both appear to be the first major tournament hauls for each; five figures being a fine way to put your name  on the MTT poker map. Calgary’s Rod Naylor however now has a title to add to his monthly $300 Deep Stack Challenge win back in 2009 at the Grey Eagle Casino.

With an average of 195 players per event so far this series, it isn’t a stretch to expect at least 150-200 players to sit down for Saturday’s concluding event.  We’ll be back with a series recap then, along with a look at a few notables making bank on the Prairies once again.  Here are the full results for Events 1-3:
