2012 PEI Poker Challenge at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino

The Red Shores Racetrack & Casino in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island will be hosting their annual PEI Poker Challenge (PPC) from June 8 – 10. This is a $330 Texas Hold’em tournament with an estimated total prize pool of $72,000 based on a sold out event.

There will be 3 qualifying sessions of 80 maximum players per session that will take place at 7PM on Friday and two sessions on the Saturday at Noon and 7PM.

The top 10% of player finish ‘in the money’ with first prize being up to $20,000 plus a one of a kind PPC memorabilia.

The top 20% in each of the three qualifying sessions (maximum of 16 players per session) will advance to the Championship Session held on Sunday, the third and final day of the PPC.

Last year’s PPC Champion was  James Kelly.

Check In for Qualifying sessions: Begins 90 minutes before each session and ends half an hour before each session. (10:30-11:30 or 5:30-6:30 respectively). The Championship Session Starts at 12 Noon on Sunday.

Register by phone at 1-877-620-4222 or in person at the Rewards Desk. Reservations will not be taking registrations. All registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.

As always, the team at Red Shores put on great tournaments so this is a good one to ring in the summer months.
