2012 Canadian Poker Tournament Circuit to Kick-off at Casino Edmonton- Including 2k Championship

9th Annual Alberta Poker ChampionshipCasino Edmonton will be getting things started on the Canadian poker tournament series circuit for 2012, hosting a total of 4 events and 2 Super-Satellites for it’s 9th Annual Alberta Poker Championships; including a $500+$50 Pot Limit Omaha, a multiple starting day $500+50 No Limit Hold’em Main Event and a $2000+$250 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em Championship Event.

Scheduled to take from January 15th to 22nd, the combined series prize-pool is estimated at $400,000; based on a total of 600 players participating over the 4 events.

To add a little incentive to anyone looking to play the Main Event, those players that register by Saturday January 7th for the $2000 NLH Championship will receive either a $100 Meal Card or for those traveling in; $100 towards their hotel room with proof of purchase.

With the exception of the Super-Satellites, a buffet style meal is included in the registration fees and will be served at all events and both the 2 Day $500 No Limit Hold’em Main Event and $2000 Championship Event will award a trophy and bracelet to the winner.

Casino Edmonton has a single re-entry policy in place on all events with buy-ins of $500 or more.

  • Sunday, January 15th @ 7:00 PM

$225+25 NLH Super Satellite to $2000+250 No Limit Hold’em Main Event

8,000 in starting chips, 20 minute blind levels.

Players may purchase one additional 2000 chip “add-on” for $10 at time of registration

 

  • Monday, January 16th @ 6:00 PM

$5000+250 Pot Limit Omaha

18,000 in tournament starting chips, 45 minute blinds for the first 3 levels, then 60 minute blinds.

Players may purchase one additional 2000 chip “add-on” for $10 at time of registration

 

  • Tuesday, January 17th @ 6:00 PM

$500+50 Deep Stack Pot Limit Omaha

18,000 in tournament starting chips, 30 minute rounds first 7 blind levels, then 45 minute rounds.

Players may purchase one additional 2000 chip “add-on” for $10 at time of registration

 

  • Wednesday, January 18th @ 6:00 PM

$225+25 NLH Super Satellite to $2000+250 No Limit Hold’em Main Event

8,000 in starting chips, 20 minute blind levels.

 

  • Thursday,January 19th @ 6:00 PM

$500+50 NLH Day “1A”

 

  • Friday, January 20th @ 2:00 PM

$500+50 NLH Day “1B”

15,000 starting stacks, 30 minute rounds first 7 blind levels, then 45 minute rounds.

Players may purchase one additional 2000 chip “add-on” for $10 at time of registration. Players eliminated on Day 1A can re-enter once before the first break and will have the same options if they chose to buy-in again for Day 2A.

Top 10% advance to money and Sunday finals.

 

  • Saturday, January 21 @ 2:00 PM:

$2000+250 No Limit Hold’em Championship Event

18,000 in tournament starting chips, 45 minute blinds for the first 3 levels, then 60 minute blinds.

Players may purchase one additional 2000 chip “add-on” for $10 at time of registration

 

  • Sunday, January 22nd @ 12:00 PM

 $500+50 NLH Day 2

Final Day of $500 No Limit Hold’EM Main Event.

All players remaining will be in the pay-outs and play to completion.

 

  • Sunday, January 22nd @ 2:00 PM

 $300+30 No Limit Hold’em

10,000 starting chips, 30 minute blind levels.

Players may purchase one additional 2000 chip “add-on” for $10 at time of registration.
