2012 Atlantic Canada Poker Championship October 12-14, 2012

Registration is open for the 2012 Atlantic Canada Poker Championship which takes place at the Red Shores Racetrack & Casino in Charlottetown, PEI. Be sure to get your tickets fast because last year’s event was sold out a week in advance.

The 2012 ACPC will take place between October 12-14, 2012 and will consist of a $550 buy-in Open Limit Texas Hold’em tournament to a maximum of 320 players creating an estimated prize pool of $160,000 up for grabs.

There will be four qualifying sessions seating up to 80 people per session offered during the first two days of the event. The 2012 ACPC schedule for the qualifying sessions is as follows:

October 12th – 10am and 6pm

October 13th – 10am and 6pm

The top 20% in each of the four qualifying sessions (maximum 16 players per session) will advance to the Championship Session held on the third and final day on October 14th at 11am.

Players will start chip stacks of 5,000 and the top 10% of the field will finish in the money.

The event Champion will receive $40,000 based on a sold-out event plus a one-of-a-kind ACPC memorabilia.

Last year’s ACPC winner was Ryan Theriault from Fall River, Nova Scotia who took home $40,000 for first place. You can click here to see the full 2011 ACPC results and here to revisit our photo gallery from last year’s event.

Registration is open and players may register daily on the phone between 11am and 12am (AST) or drop in during regular operational hours.

Naturally, Canada Poker will be photographing this event over the weekend, so be sure to meet us there – be it live or online!
